Multiple text and terms can be grouped into a set of text and terms. This set can then be used for assigning multiple text and terms in one step to engineering requisitions, inquiries, or agreements. Standard text and term sets can be defined at product group level, copied to the project, and then modified to meet project requirements.

Which term type should I use?

The assigned term type specifies where the text and terms can be used. The available types are:

  • Engineering Requisition – Text and terms of this type can be assigned to requisition templates and to requisitions.

  • Inquiry – Text and terms of this type can be assigned to objects within the inquiry cycle, this is, inquiries and quote summaries.

  • Purchase Order – Text and terms of this type can be assigned to any agreement (purchase order, notice of commitment, change order or blanket order).

  1. From the Home page, select Other Tasks > Text and Terms > Text and Term Sets.

  2. Click Add Row.

  3. Select a Term Type from the list.

  4. Type the Term Set name.

  5. Type the set description in the Short Description and Description cells.

  6. After saving the set, do the following to add text and terms to the set.

    1. Click Add Row in the Term Set Details grid.

    2. Type a sequence number in the Seq cell.

    3. Select Footer or Header in the Placement cell, to define where this text and term is placed when it is attached.

    4. Select the term from the list in the Term Code cell.

To create a revision of a set, select the set and click Revision.
