Material issue reports (MIR) are created to issue the materials at the construction sites. After materials are forecasted or reserved they are released to the construction sites using MIR . Following are the ways to create the MIRs at site:

  • Reservation

  • Plates

  • BOM Commodity

  • Direct Issue

  • BOM Ident

  • Stores Requisition

Material Issue

To understand the material issue report, you need to know the following terms:

Name

Description

Issue Type (MIR for Plates)

There are three types of issue type:

  • Null

  • Other

  • Other Project

  • Other Site

MIR Type (MIR for Plates)

There are three types of MIR type:

  • BOM Issue

  • Direct Issue

  • Reservation Issue

Issue Type (MIR by Direct Issue)

Here are the following issue types:

  • Manual

  • Null

  • Other Project

  • Other

  • Other Site

  • No Inventory

Run Number

Indicates how many times forecast has been run.

Scrap warehouse

Name of the warehouse where the scrap materials are kept.

Approval Template

Specifies approval sequence followed for a MIR and are defined on the approval templates screen.

Issue Type (MIR by BOM Commodity)

Here are the following issue types:

  • Miss

  • Lost

  • Regular

  • Damage

  • Reverse Pick Ticket

  • To post the multiple MIRs, click Bulk Post MIR, click MIR Number(s) and then click Post MIR from Inventory.

  • Click Unposted MIR to view all the unposted MIRs with their inventory details. To select a particular configuration, select on the toolbar to open the available Configurations list.

  • Click Revision to create a new revision for the MIR. Revision button gets activated for only those MIRs which are posted and when no Return to Inventory is created for that MIR.

  • If the project default ZC_REV_ALL is set to YES, all inventory issues of the previous MIR revision are included. If you change an issue quantity, the Qty changed indicator of this position is checked automatically. Only these items with quantity changes (checked Quantity changed indicator) will be revised and posted to the inventory when posting this MIR revision.

  • Return to Inventory is selected as Yes when you are doing a Revision for Plates.
