To enable the Web Approval part of Smart Materials Web, you must activate this feature on the Administration > DBA Settings page on the Application Server Specific Settings tab.

WebApproval_DBASettings

  1. Assign the following URL (Oracle Forms based Web Approval system) to WEB_APPROVAL_URL, replacing <your_server_name> with an appropriate value:

    http://<your_server_name>/forms/frmservlet?config=appr_login_trunk

    For example, http://dor-host.network.com/forms/frmservlet?config=appr_login_trunk

    The WEB_APPROVAL_URL setting is required for the Forms component, but it must be set at all to activate the Web-Approval feature.

  2. Assign the Smart Materials Web based Web Approval system URL to WEB_APPROVAL_URL_BIR, replacing <your_server_name> and <port> with appropriate values:
    http://<your_server_name>:<port>/apex/f?p=102

    For example, http://dor-host.network.com:8090/apex/f?p=102

  3. Additionally, set WEB_APPROVAL_WITH_BIR to Y.
