This DBA setting refers to the log file destination for the online jobs. It must point to a directory on the Oracle database server, where the log files are stored.

While opening the files, the application checks if a directory object exists with the path given in this DBA setting, which is granted to m_sys. If the path with grant is not found, it creates a directory object with an internal name M_DIR_<timestamp> to ensure that the existing directory names are not affected.

Instead of entering the physical path, you can assign the Oracle Directory Object Name to this DBA setting, concluded by / or \, depending on database server OS.

You can define this here on a global basis, or on a per-project basis with the parameter ZX_MAR_LOG on Global Setup>Project Defaults page. If for a specific user environment, the parameter ZX_MAR_LOG is set, then the LOG_FILE_DEST from this page will not be used.
