The price breakdown includes the goods, services, or packages separated into their elements and listed under suitable headings such as materials, labor, shipping and handling, taxes, and so forth.

To add a new price breakdown item, proceed as follows:

  1. Click Price Breakdown on the menu.

    SHARED Tip To view the price breakdown of another bidder, select the Bidder from the list.

  2. Click Add Row.

  3. Type a unique sequence number in the Seq cell.

  4. Enter a code for the price breakdown item in the Item Code cell.

  5. Type the price breakdown item Description.

  6. Optionally, select an Activity Code from the list.

  7. Optionally, select an Account Code from the list.

  8. Enter the estimated cost for the material in the Material Total cell.

  9. Enter the estimated cost for construction equipment for this item in the Construction Equipment Total cell.

  10. Enter the estimated cost for the consumables (for example, welding electrodes, consumables) for this price breakdown item in the Consumables Total cell.

  11. Enter the estimated other costs for this price breakdown item in the Others Total cell that could not be added to the material, construction equipment, or consumables totals.

  12. To enter labor costs, click the value in Labor Total and do the following:

    1. In the Labor Hours dialog, click Add Row.

    2. Type a unique sequence number in the Seq cell.

    3. Select a Labor Classification from the list.

      SHARED Tip If the appropriate rate type is not available, you can define a new type on-the-fly.

    4. Enter the estimated number of labor Hours.

    5. Enter the hourly rate for the selected labor classification in the Unit Rate cell.

      The labor hours are multiplied with the hourly rate and the result is displayed in the Total cell with its Currency.

    6. Click Save and close the dialog.

    Labor Total shows now the sum of all totals defined in the Labor Hours dialog.

  13. Overall Total displays the sum of all totals of this price breakdown item and is calculated as: Material Total+Construction Equipment Total+Consumables Total+Others Total+Labor Total.

  14. Optionally, add Comments.

  15. Click Save.

    If the Sum Overall Total value deviates from the Quote Detail Costs value, a warning is displayed.
