Fabrication tracking process involves tasks that are performed in MobileScan and different modules of Smart Materials such as BOM, Requisition, Traffic, and so on and involves the following steps:

Receive the materials in the warehouse based on a purchase order raised against a BOM.

Create an MIR against a spool drawing and supply the materials along with the spool file to the fabricator.
In case the supplier buys the materials, load the spool file that is provided by
the fabricator to Smart Materials.

The fabricator uses MobileScan for movement of materials, including spool, between different stations such as Cutting, Folding, Shearing, Welding, or Painting and so on.

Once the spool reaches the last station, create a Direct MRR or create/update PO (requires Smart Materials 8.4 or higher and MobileScan 5.0).

Use this direct MRR in the MSCM module to assign or track the pre-shipment and shipment tasks.

Use MobileScan to scan the barcode/QR codes to receive the spools and transfer them to the warehouse.
