MobileScan application now allows the user to attach documents from Receive and Transfer tiles. MobileScan uses Metadefender to scan the attachments. When the DBA setting UPLOAD_FILE_SCAN_ENABLE is set to Y, Mobilescan application scans the attachments before uploading the attachment to Smart Materials.

To scan attachments using Metadefender, the following conditions must be met. In case even if any one of the following condition is not met, attachments are not scanned.

  1. Smart Materials version 10.0 SP7 or higher.

  2. The DBA setting UPLOAD_FILE_SCAN_ENABLE is set to Y.

  3. Define the Metadefender API URL in the DBA Setting UPLOAD_FILE_SCAN_ENG_URL and auto configure it.

You can attach multiple images to an MRR/MTR. You can view the attachment details in D.90.21 Attachments screen in Smart Materials. To access D.90.21, tap the Attachments button in C.20.01 Prepare MRR by PO, C.20.03 Prepare MRR by Direct Receive, C.20.04 Prepare MRR by Release Notes screen. The image description is added to the to Short Desc field in D.90.21 screen.

The Description field in D.90.21 is a concatenation of the following values separated by a colon (:):

  • MRR Number

  • Position of the ident

  • Sub position of the Ident

  • Ident

  • Tag number

  • Ident description

  • Short description/Image description from the MobleScan client.

How to add an attachment

  • Tap Attachment Icon - MRR, select an image from the gallery, and then tap Open.

  • Tap Camera Icon - MRR, take a picture using the device camera, and then tap Ok.
