With this DBA setting you can define your preferred language which is used when messages are displayed. This means, the messages appear in this language, independent of the login language. If USER_ALTERNATIVE_LOCALE is set, the messages are displayed in the language specified with this setting. If the message is not available in this language or USER_ALTERNATIVE_LOCALE is not set, the message is displayed in the login language. If the message is also not available in the login language, the message is displayed in English (nls_id=1) which is the default message language.
The culture name assigned to this DBA setting must be specified in the <predefinedCultures> section in the config.xml file (see Portal Setup).
The valid values are: culture names in the format xx-YY (xx representing the language, YY representing the country), for example, en-US, de-DE.
