We assume the test described in Test the Webservice was succesful. Also the ISL client is installed on the same machine as the license webservice and you can run the ISL client UI successfully.

If you have setup more than one license web service machine in your organization, check your DB, if you target the correct license service URL in the License screen of Smart Materials Classic or Smart Materials Web. You can query the value from m_license table as well.

Review, if the Keystores field in the License screen and/or the Users screen is empty (standard situation). If it is not, it should point to the correct ISL project you have setup in your ISL configuration.

Refer to Define License Webservice Settings for the details on License Service field and the Keystores field.

Logon to the license web service machine console and run the ISL Client UI as Administrator.

On the Configuration tab you can see, which configurations are currently loaded. With a standard setup for Smart Materials you should expect to have one configuration only. Check if the configuration is the one you expected and if it is marked as "Device" type configuration.

On the Client Settings tab you can see which ISL projects are in the configuration currently loaded.

When you navigate to the Status tab, it will show the health of the ISL services.

Below the ISL services, the Status tab lists the Keystore Order of the currently selected ISL project. Do you see the keystores you expected?

You may switch the project on the Client Settings tab and then return to the Status tab to check all available projects . With a standard setup for Smart Materials, you should expect to have one project only. Refer to Configure ISL Client to learn about different ways to setup the ISL configuration.

Open the Licensing Portal page (see Display and maintain Licenses) and compare the data there to the data you found in the ISL client. Make sure you have marked at least one of your ISL projects as "Fallback" in your configuration.

Verify that your keystores contain valid keys and the keys contain all the license tags you need. Consider also that licenses can be tight to a specific product version. Finally check if there are enough licenses "Unused" so you have some seats free for you testing.
