You can use milestones to plan manufacturing activities and calculate expected and actual progress of an order, to determine the vendor progress.

Activities could be, for example:

  • Engineering

  • Manufacturing

  • Documentation

  • Inspection

  • Packing

Milestones can be assigned, and vendor progress can be measured on agreement, requisition, or item shipment level.

  1. Click the Expediting task on the dashboard or select Expediting from the Tasks list.

  2. Select an agreement.

  3. Click Vendor Progress.

How is the overall progress calculated?

The expected progress of the agreement, requisition or item shipment is displayed in the Overall Expected Progress cell. For the calculation, the expected progress of all activities (milestones) and its weight factors are considered, using this formula:

sum (expected progress per activity * weight factor per activity) / 100

If the forecasted end date of any milestone has expired (forecasted end date lies before the current date) and the actual progress of this milestone is not 100%, Com_Warning appears in the first column. Hovering over the icon shows an appropriate message.

The actual progress of the agreement, requisition or item shipment is displayed in the Overall Actual Progress cell. For the calculation, the actual progress of all activities (milestones) and its weight factors are considered, using this formula:

sum (actual progress per activity * weight factor per activity) / 100
