Purpose

This section explains how to perform bidder awarding. Only users with the ALLOW AWARDING privilege can perform the awarding.

Exercise

  1. Open the P.30.11 Inquiries screen from the Smart Materials > MSCM > P.30 Inquiry menu branch.

  2. Click the Exe Query button to view the existing inquiries.

  3. Click the Commercial Evaluation button at the bottom of the screen to open the P.30.22 Commercial Evaluation screen.

  4. On the Quote Summaries tab, click the Awarding button.

    The P.30.25 Awarding screen opens.

  5. Click the to expand the screen.

  6. Scroll to the right to view the first bidder.

    The first bidder has offered the best price for position 3, and the second bidder for position 1 and 2. The best (cheapest) price is highlighted with green.

  7. For the first position, double-click in the Quoted Quantity field or in any of the six following fields to assign this position to the bidder.

    The position is highlighted in blue to indicate that it is selected but not the cheapest.

  8. Right-click in the Quoted Quantity field to open the shortcut menu.

  9. Select Reset selection from the menu.

    This action cancels the selected position. It is no longer highlighted in blue.

  10. Double-click in a header line of the second bidder to assign all positions to this bidder.

    A message appears.

  11. Click Yes.

    The magenta color indicates the selected and cheapest positions.

  12. Go back to the first bidder and double/click in the Quoted Quantity field of the third position.

    Position 3 is now assigned to the first bidder.

  13. Click the Best Bid button.

    A message appears.

  14. Click Yes.

    All selections are cancelled and the cheapest bids are automatically selected.

  15. Click the to close the P.30.25 screen and return to P.30.22.

    The Sel check box indicates that positions were selected for this bidder.

  16. Close the screen by selecting File > Close All or Close from the main menu.
