With the origin, you define the office or department that is responsible for the agreements. Use the A.10.33 Origins screen to define the origins.

The origin is defined as the location of the originator of the related engineering requisition; it is normally the company internal or geographical name of the branch/office that issues the requisition. This origin must be assigned to the project default ZX_ORIGIN, preferably on the discipline level. This value will be assigned by default to each new engineering requisition, either when running an MTO job using R.20.01 MTO Jobs or when creating the requisition manually on the R.30.01 Requisitions screen. The origin is a key component of the engineering requisition, and its purpose is to prevent conflicts with identical engineering requisitions (names) sent from different branches/offices to a centralized procurement department.

The project default ZX_ORIGIN and thus the origin itself is further used on P.50.01 Agreements, P.60.01 Tagged Items Planning, P.60.03 Requisitions Planning, and P.60.06 Budget Results.
