To be able to create assembly idents within a specification, the idents of the assembly child items must be available in this specification. Specification items are maintained on the S.50.06 Specification Management screen.
Select the specification you want to edit in the Spec Code field, and double-click in this field to open Window 2, where the specification items are displayed.
In our example, the flange union assembly consists of flanges, a gasket, and bolts. First check to see if the needed flanges are available. Click the Enter Query button to change to query mode, select the flange short code (FLA) from the LOV in the Short Code field, and click the Run Query button.
Click the Geometric tab to find the appropriate specification item.
Select the first item because it has the matching size range. Click the Next Block button to open Window 3, where the specification item idents are displayed.
Check to see if the needed idents are available.
Repeat these steps for the other assembly children. Check the gasket and bolt specification items.
If assembly child idents are missing, you must build these idents before you create the assembly idents.
