In our example, the flanges are added as a child with position 1.

Enter 1 in the Pos field, select the flange short code (FLA) from the LOV in the Short Code field, and enter 1 in the Option field. Enter the quantity 2 in the Quantity field, and select the quantity unit from the LOV in the Unit field.

Next, define the size range for the flange. By default, the size range specified for the assembly is displayed here in the From and To fields also. Do not change these values, because this definition of position 1 is valid for the entire size range of the assembly.

The geometric values for the From / To fields must not be greater than the values displayed in the upper block.

The -1 value in the Input1 field means that the size 1 value of the child must be identical to the size 1 value of the assembly. The same applies to -2 in the Input2 field and -3 in the Input3 field. In our example, the flange is defined with NPD1 (nominal pipe diameter) as input1 and SCH1 (schedule) as input2, just like the assembly. In other words, the flanges are assigned to the matching assemblies. Input3 is not used, so you can leave the -3 or enter 0 (zero).
