On the Sub Orders tab, you get an overview of all sub orders of the current order. Sub orders can be created for any kind of material the supplier has to deliver but does not manufacture himself.

Here you can create, modify, and delete sub orders.

In contrast to IRCs and release notes, item shipments can be assigned to several sub orders.

To see the item shipments of a sub order, you can either double-click in the Sub Order Number field or click the Details button.

This screen is a core workflow screen. For more information, see Core Workflow Screens.

The Ordered by field shows by which fields the displayed records are sorted. By default, the data is ordered by sub order number. To change the order criteria, click the Order By ... button at the bottom of the screen, or select either the Order by this field ascending or the Order by this field descending item from the pop-up menu available on the field level. If you select Order by this field descending, the field name is lengthened by ‘(desc)’ to show that the data is currently displayed in a descending order.

The Sub Order Number field displays the name/number of the sub order. Sub order numbers must be unique within the combination of project and order number. You can double-click in this field or click the Details button to open another window showing the item shipments of this sub order. For more information, see MCS.

The descriptions of the sub order are displayed in the Short Desc and Description fields.

The Sub Vendor field shows the name of the sub vendor. You can use the LOV in this field to select a sub vendor but you can also enter any free text. There is no validation in this field against the pre-defined list of values. The content of the LOV depends on the setting of project default ZP_PROJSUP. If you are working with project suppliers (that is, ZP_PROJSUP is set to Y), only project suppliers are available. Otherwise, all suppliers are displayed in the list of values.

The Pertinent Area field shows the name of the pertinent area.

The date for which the delivery of the sub order was originally planned is shown in the Planned Delivery field.

The date for which the delivery of the sub order has been forecasted is shown in the Forecasted Delivery field.

The date on which the sub order has been delivered is displayed in the Actual Delivery field.

The Last Info Date field shows the last date on which any information has been entered for the sub order. This date is not filled automatically by the software but must be maintained by the user. Future dates are not allowed for this field.

The Info Type field displays the type of the last information update. You can enter any task defined on the P.10.56 Events and Tasks screen.

You can click the Order By ... button to change the order by criteria for the displayed records. When you click this button, a list of values is opened, offering you all the columns currently visible in the form. Select the field by which you want the data to be ordered by in the first place. Then a second list of values comes up, allowing you to select a second field. In this way, you can select up to four fields by which the data is to be ordered. If you do not need any further fields as order by criteria, just click the Cancel button in the LOV box. After the last LOV has been closed, your last query is performed again, this time using the new order by criteria. The data is always sorted in ascending order. The selected and changed order by criteria are displayed in the Ordered by field.

Click the Details button or double-click in the Sub Order Number field to open another window where the details of the selected sub order are displayed.

For more information, see MCS.
