With the part access control, you can allow or limit access to specific commodity groups/parts on the discipline level of a project, for all members of a user group. The access to the selected parts will be limited to BOM activities (like insert and update of list positions for specific parts).
On the A.20.44 Part Access Control screen, you can define access rights for specific parts per discipline. As prerequisites, the Access Right by Part indicator must be selected for the project/discipline on the A.10.09 Disciplines screen, and the user group must be assigned to the part discipline on A.20.41 User Groups. Further, the project default ZB_PART_AC must be set to Y (default) to activate the part access control for the login project.
On the A.20.44 screen, query for the group in the first (Commodity Group) block, and then select the part in the second (Commodity Part) block.
In the third (Part Access Rights for User Groups), you assign user groups to the selected part. With the indicators at the right,
you set up the access rights for the user groups in the BOM. The indicators control
whether the user group is allowed to insert, update, and/or delete BOM positions with
the selected part. With the 
button, you can insert all existing user groups.
When part access control is activated and the Access Right by Part indicator is set for the discipline and the login project, all parts not assigned
to the user group on A.20.44 will not be available in the BOM module for users of
this user group.
