List Views control the access to BOM position attributes and define which attributes are available to a user on the B.20.03 Advanced BOM screen and other E&PI screens. List Views define groups of attributes that allow for additional definition of an item relative to its application within the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Access to these attributes is controlled at both the Discipline level and the User Security Level. Use the A.20.06.11 Attribute Security screen to define list views with assigned view attributes. Here it is possible to define attribute ranges that are not user-specific. You can assign them later on to a user on A.20.06.02 User Securities for Projects or to a group of users on A.20.41 User Group.

When adding new attributes in the second (View Attributes) block, use the LOV (F9) button to open the multi-selection LOV displayed in the picture below. You can select attributes from the list on the left side and click the button to move it to the right side. Or, use the button to move all available attributes to the right side. You can change the sort order of the selected attributes using the or button. When you have completed your selection, click the button to insert all selected attributes in the View Attributes section on A.20.06.11. Using the or button will move the selected or all attributes from the right to the left side. The button will close the LOV without inserting any attributes.

Attributes are available based on individual users. Available attributes are controlled by assigning a List View to a user on a project on A.20.06.02. Attribute security views can also be assigned to roles; for more information, see Attribute Security View in the Roles section.

Attributes are also available based on discipline. Users may be assigned to user groups on A.20.41. User groups can then be assigned to projects via project groups on A.20.43. For more information about user groups and project groups, see User Groups/Project Groups.
