You can compare the file that is currently open to a previous version from the Workflow database or to any other file (.pcf, .idf, or .pod file) that resides in the database.

Select Project > Compare PODs to display the Compare PODs Dialog.

In the File 1 box, select Browse
, navigate to the file to compare, and then select Open. If you are logged in to a legacy Smart Isometrics project, the software automatically extracts the file that you selected from the
Workflow database, saves it to the Temp folder, and then displays the file information
in the File 1 box. If you are logged in to a Smart IsometricsDB project, the software takes no action.

Select OK. For legacy Smart Isometrics projects, the software compares the two files and then displays the results in the POD Comparison window. For SpoolgenDB projects, the software first extracts the selected file from the Spoolgen database and saves it to the Temp folder. Then, the software compares the two files and displays the results in the POD Comparison window.
You can also use the stand-alone POD Compare Utility (PODCompare.exe). This file is in the [Product Folder]. See Run the POD Compare utility.
