Connect two pipes with a bend automatically - Intergraph Smart Isometrics - Help - Hexagon

1. Select Edit > Select Command .

2. In the Detail window, select the two pipes to connect. Make sure the pipes you select meet the following conditions:

   • Both pipes have open ends.

   • Both pipes have the same bore.

   • The pipes are perpendicular to each other, meaning that one pipe, if projected, intersects the other pipe.

   Hold down CTRL while selecting multiple drawing items.

3. Select Edit > Connect Bend Automatically Command .

   The software joins the pipes with an elbow component.

   

• The software automatically applies the elbow item code from the specification to which the current project is connected,

• The software extends or shortens the pipes as needed to accommodate the connection.

• If the software is unable to compute the dimensions, you must dimension the pipeline manually.
