The standard Smart Isometrics interface is shown below:

1 - Menu bar

Click the name of a menu to display the menu commands. Many menu commands have equivalent keystrokes, such as CTRL+C for the Copy command, that you can use to quickly perform an action.

2 - Toolbars

Toolbars are groups of icons that provide rapid access to commonly used commands. They are an alternative to using menu items or keyboard shortcuts. To toggle on and off the display of a toolbar, click View > Toolbars, and then select the toolbar name in the list.

You can dock toolbars at the top, bottom or side of the Smart Isometrics application window, or you can let them float in a convenient position.

3 - Pipeline Explorer

The Pipeline Explorer displays a hierarchical list of the all the pipe and components that make up the pipeline model in the sketch. You can navigate through the model hierarchy by clicking the + or icons. In addition, you can double-click nodes in the tree view to open them. When you select an item in the Pipeline Explorer, the software highlights the item in the pipe sketch that appears in the Detail window. For more information, read Pipeline Explorer.

4 - Detail window

The Detail window is the working space where the pipe model is drawn. You can view the entire model or just a detailed portion of interest. For more information, read Detail window.

5 - Properties window

After you select an item in the pipeline model, you can define, view, and modify the properties associated with that item in the Properties window. You can define customized properties and the default value for each item in the I-Configure software. For more information, read Properties window.

6 - Status bar

Provides feedback concerning the action that you are currently performing and also indicates the name of the active isometric project. You use the View > Status Bar command to toggle the status bar display on and off.

If any error messages occur during an operation, such as when you run a consistency check against the pipeline, the software automatically opens the Errors window and displays the error message. When you select an error message in the Errors window, the software highlights the appropriate component in the Detail window.
