Smart Interop Publisher Version
16.2

Smart Interop Publisher supports specific third-party formats as targets. You can translate your Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence and third-party data using the Smart Interop Publisher schema, and then the software exports the data to the selected format. This allows you to open the resulting Smart Model files with your preferred third-party tools to manage various building and model projects.

  • You must have a Smart Interop Publisher translation license (SRP) and an IFC license for the Export Settings Command to take effect, or, for MCAD file translation, you must have an MCD license and an IFC license.

  • The export to the Industry Foundation Class target does not support SmartSketch (.igr) and SmartPlant P&ID (.pid) source file formats.

If the Translate to Smart Model Command is not available, make sure you have the Intergraph Smart Licensing client installed on the same computer on which Smart Interop Publisher is installed.

  4. Save your project settings, and then click the Models View.

  5. Select each source file to use in creating the Smart Model, and then click Translate .

  7. Define the remaining translation options as required.
    -OR-
For MCAD assemblies, click the Part Assembly Tab and select the required assembly sub files. See Translate MCAD assembly files.

  8. If you have defined any custom mapping, select Custom for Mapping Options, and then browse to the folder containing your edited mapping files for Mapping Files Location. See Use custom mapping for third-party format targets.
