Concurrent Translations

Specifies the number of source files, default is 1, that can be translated at the same time. The progress of the concurrent translation depends on the availability of licenses and the amount of system resources available on the computer. If you set a concurrent translation value, be aware that in some cases you can get a significant performance increases while in other cases performance can be adversely affected. The possible effects are based on multiple factors such as file type, size, and contained geometries. This option applies to both the Translate and Update commands. See Use concurrent translation.

The Concurrent Translations setting does not apply to translate and update operations that are scheduled. You can configure the Run Limit option in Intergraph Batch Services to define the number of jobs that can be run simultaneously when using scheduling. See Schedule Jobs.

Create a single object for the same object in multiple files

Creates a single object in SmartPlant Foundation for cases in which the same object is in multiple Smart Models. By default, this option is not enabled and Smart Interop Publisher publishes the same object in different Smart Models as separate objects in SmartPlant Foundation. The default behavior allows for Smart Interop Publisher to create Smart Models that can be copied for model data reuse.

Object Behavior

  • Single object behavior when publishing to SmartPlant Foundation:

  • Default behavior:

Support SPF Composite model creation with S3D documents

Matches the measurement resolutions in translated Smart Models to measurements generated in Smart 3D 3D Model Data documents so that you can view objects together in a SmartPlant Foundation Composite model. This option applies only when combining 3D Model Data published from Smart 3D and Smart Models. The option is turned off by default. The following diagram shows the workflow that requires this option to be enabled:

SPF Smart Drawing Document Parameters

Define a Document Type and Sub Type for non-Smart 3D drawing source files that are supported in the EFSchema of the registered SmartPlant Foundation server. Otherwise, the translated Smart Drawings publish as Equipment document types.

The publish fails for the translated Smart Drawing if the Document Type you enter is not supported by the registered SmartPlant Foundation server. If the Document Sub Type is not supported, the publish continues and can succeed, but Smart Interop Publisher displays a message indicating an invalid sub type. You can change the sub type and re-publish.

Document Type

Specifies the document type for the Smart Drawing to be published. Select from the list of available pre-defined document types or type a New or custom document type. By default, the Equipment document type is selected.

Document Sub Type

Specifies the sub type for the defined Document Type. Enter the document sub type. Some example sub types include Piping Rack Plan, Structural Framing Elevation, and Equipment Area Isometric.

Default SPF Status for Missing Objects and Relationships

Specifies whether to move or delete objects when updating published Smart Models or Smart Documents. When you delete or move objects during a Smart 3D design session in published documents, set this option so that the resulting updates account for the changes. This eliminates duplicated or missing data in the updated documents in SmartPlant Foundation and downstream applications. The default setting is Deleted.
