You can configure a remote site database in cases where the SQL Server Browser service is disabled on the system. Enter the port number in addition to the server name to connect and configure. See Configure a site database.

The Show distant objects option has been added to Common options in Translation Settings to support data display for large coordinate systems. This option enables 3D graphics that are located far from the model origin to display in portal data target applications.

The mapping spreadsheets (default, custom, and generic) provide a Property Value Parsing Expression column that enables you to parse a specified source property value and remove extraneous strings, and also extract any portion of a property value string using a regular expression format. This allows you to set up property values for a better one-to-one mapping from third-party property data to Smart 3D or SmartPlant Foundation properties. See Parse property values for mapping.

Enable subequipment selection has been added to PDMS options to translate individual subequipments so that they can be selected and their properties can display. These new settings apply to translate and update operations of PDMS source files.
In PDMS options, Selection is now called Model Options and the related settings prefix has been renamed to Enable.

CAESAR II file translation now requires Microsoft Access Engine (64-bit) instead of Microsoft Access 32-bit versions.

Translation of all supported file formats no longer requires Microsoft Office.
