Before beginning an installation of the Smart Instrumentation Web API software, verify that your servers meet the requirements in this section.
Smart Instrumentation Web API can be installed on its own server without Intergraph Smart® Instrumentation being installed but does require a Smart Instrumentation v13.1 .ini file or higher to connect to the database. However, Report functionality and Patch requests are not available with this configuration.
To use Smart Instrumentation Web API to its fullest potential, a full installation of Smart Instrumentation v13.1 with the latest HF should be on the same server as Smart Instrumentation Web API and configured for use with it.
We recommend using an SSD drive for the Smart Instrumentation server.
