You can easily create a request by duplicating one of the existing pre-configured requests and then editing it. You can duplicate an existing request from within the collection and automatically add it to the same collection, or you can duplicate an open request edit and then save the request to an existing collection.

Duplicate an existing request from within a collection

  1. On the Collections pane, expand the collection that contains the request you want to duplicate.

  2. Locate the request you want to duplicate, right-click on the request and from the shortcut menu select Duplicate.

The duplicated request appears in the collection with the same name and the suffix -Copy.

  3. Right-click on the copy and from the shortcut menu select Rename .

  4. Rename the duplicated request

  5. Open the duplicated request and edit the request as you require.

  6. Click Save.

Duplicate an existing request from the open requests pane (Tabs)

  1. Make sure the request you want to duplicate is open.

  2. On the Requests pane do one of the following:

    • Click the request and then click the ellipsis (...) and select Duplicate Current Tab (Ctrl+D) from the drop down menu.

    • Right-click on the tab of the request you want to duplicate and from the shortcut menu, select Duplicate Tab.

  3. Click the down arrow next to the Save button and select Save As.

  4. On the Save Request dialog box, change the request name, add a description if required.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • Select an existing collection to save the collection to.

    • Click Create Collection and give your collection a name.

  6. Click Save.

Avoid using the + in the requests tab unless you add the Authorization Key and Value from another request into the Headers tab.
