Double-click the Oracle setup icon.
A Windows security prompt may be displayed.

Click Run.

On the Configure Security Updates page, enter the required values and click Next.

On the Select Installation Option page, select Install database software only and click Next.

On the Grid Installation Options page, select Single instance database installation and click Next.

On the Select Product Languages page, select the required languages in which your product will run and click Next.

On the Select Database Edition page, select Enterprise Edition or Standard Edition and click Next.
Do not select Personal Edition or Standard Edition One. Smart Instrumentation does not support these installation types.

On the Specify Oracle Home User page, enter the required information

On the Specify Installation Location page, specify the locations for the Oracle Base and for the software location and click Next.

On the Summary page, click Install.

On completion of the installation, click Close.

Restart the server machine.

Install the latest Oracle patch, if appropriate.
