The following procedure allows you to clean up the SQL Server database by using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio options.

In Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, on the Connect to Server dialog box, do the following:

From the Server type box, select Database Engine.

Connect using the user name and password as set in the Microsoft SQL Server Connection dialog box, to open the Object Explorer.

In the <server name> > Databases folder, do the following:

Expand the Security > Users hierarchy of the target Smart Instrumentation database to display the database user login names.

Remember the Admin schema login name (you will need to delete the Admin schema login).

In the Databases folder, right-click the target Smart Instrumentation database and click Delete.
When deleting the database, the software also deletes the appropriate filegroups, the INTOOLS_ENGINEER role, and the Smart Instrumentation database schemas (database users).

In the <server name> > Security folder, expand the Logins folder of the target Smart Instrumentation database and do one of the following:

If your Smart Instrumentation database is the only database in the current instance, right-click and delete the following logins: SPI_login, and the Admin schema login.

If you have other Smart Instrumentation databases in the current instance, right-click and delete only the Admin schema login.
The SPI_login is shared for all Smart Instrumentation databases created in the current SQL Server instance.
