The System Administrator can use this dialog box options to rebuild the default views of all the database objects for a specific domain. You must rebuild the default views after upgrading Smart Instrumentation to Version 2009. This is because during the upgrade, the software makes changes to certain tables, and as a result, the default views associated with these tables might become invalid.
-
When initializing a domain, a View-Only Domain schema password is created using the format <Domain schema logon name>_VIEW, for example: Red Plant_VIEW. If you then change the Domain name, you must still use the original View-Only Domain schema password to rebuild the default views.
-
Make sure that all Smart Instrumentation users have logged out of the database before you start rebuilding the default views.
The software does not rebuild any user-defined views.
Domain — Allows you to select the domain in which you want to rebuild the default views.
View-Only Domain schema password — Allows you to enter the logon password of the View-Only Domain schema. You must specify the password you set for the View- Only Domain schema when initializing the current domain. If you did not change the password when initializing the current domain, enter the default logon password, which is <Domain schema logon name>_VIEW.
The password characters appear masked.
System Admin. Password (only available when running Smart Instrumentation on SQL Server) — Allows you to type the SQL Server System Administrator's password.
OK — Starts rebuilding the views of the selected domain.
