The Custom Defined Tables and Field Editor dialog box is where you create custom defined fields and select lists.
Select Lists Tab
The Select Lists tab is divided into two panes, the Select Lists pane and the Definition pane.
Select Lists Pane
The Select Lists pane is where you add, delete, and edit your custom select lists. It contains a list of every select list in the Smart Instrumentation database. Including all the shipped select lists and all custom select lists.
The Segregation Level select list can be edited, all other select lists supplied with the software are
read only lists and cannot be altered in anyway.
Search – Allows you to type a search string for a specific select list. As you type your search string, the software hides from view all items that do not match your criteria.
— Deletes the highlighted custom select list from the database.
— Opens the Edit Select Lists dialog box, where you can edit the selected custom select list name.
— Opens the New Select Lists dialog box.
You can only delete and edit custom select lists.
Select Lists – a list of all the select lists in the Smart Instrumentation database. Selecting a list, displays the list definitions in the Definition pane.

in front of the select list name indicates this is a custom select list and can be edited.

Any changes made to the custom select lists are saved automatically.
Definition
Search – Allows you to type a search string for a specific select list definition. As you type your search string, the software hides from view all items that do not match your criteria.
– Deletes the selected row from the selected custom select list definition.
- Adds a new row to the grid of the selected custom select list definition.
Grid View
Select List Index – You type here a unique index value.
Select List Text – You type here the unique text that appears in the selected row of the custom select list.
The unique values are unique only for the selected custom select list, you can use
these values in other select lists.
