Entities that are never required to be mapped can be disabled for mapping as described below. Mapping can be disabled and enabled after you have performed the loading and comparison actions.

Disable entities for mapping

  1. From the Filter list, select Unmapped.

  2. If required, use the Search data box and column filters to narrow the list of entities that appear in the Source and Target panes. Use the column sort options to order the data by preferred columns.

    When using the column filters for mapping, the list of entities is coordinated between the display in both the Source and Target panes, regardless of the pane in which the filtering was done.

  3. At the left of the Schema Management window, select a category: Properties, Lists, or List Items.

  4. In the Target pane, select one or more entities.

  5. If required, select entities under other categories.

  6. At the top right of the Target pane, click and then click Disable for Mapping.

    If you disable an entity that has child entities, the child entities are also disabled.

  7. To view the entities that you disabled for mapping, select Disabled from the Filter list.

    The disabled for mapping entities appear with gray color markers:

Enable entities for mapping

If an entity that was disabled for mapping needs to be mapped, you first need to enable it for mapping as described below.

  1. From the Filter list, select Disabled.

  2. If required, use the Search data box and column filters to narrow the list of entities that appear in the Source and Target panes. Use the column sort options to order the data by preferred columns.

    When using the column filters for mapping, the list of entities is coordinated between the display in both the Source and Target panes, regardless of the pane in which the filtering was done.

  3. At the left of the Schema Management window, select a category: Properties, Lists, or List Items.

  4. In the Target pane, select one or more entities.

  5. If required, select entities under other categories.

  6. At the top right of the Target pane, click and then click Enable for Mapping.

    If you enable an entity that has a parent entity, the parent entity is also enabled.

    The entities that you enabled are moved to the Unmapped category ready for mapping and appear with orange color markers.
