The overall goal of integrated schema management is to map extended application properties and lists to the Common Schema or to create new items in the application to map to new SDx properties and lists.

From time to time, when the Common Schema gets updated, an automatic e-mail notification of the update is sent to the relevant administrators.

After receipt of the notification, you can map the schema to your tool schema using the following workflow:

  1. Select a site.

  2. Select a plant.

The plant must be registered with SDx.

  3. Open the Schema Management module.

  4. Scope and load the entities.

  5. Compare the source and target schema.

  6. Map the source and target schema.
