Onboarding refers to the process of creating users and assigning them administration and other rights that enable them to perform various activities in the Smart Engineering Manager Web API. Prior to performing onboarding, you must install and configure Web API as described in the preceding sections of this Help.

You must also install and configure a suitable web-based REST client application such as Postman. For details, see Installing and Configuring your REST Client Application.

To facilitate the onboarding process, on running the SEM Web API post-installation configuration script, Default User is created under the Everyone group.
