You must uninstall any previous version of Smart Engineering Manager before installing a new version.

Insert your product DVD into the drive. If the installation does not start automatically, double-click SPEM_setup.exe in the main folder.

On the Smart Engineering Manager Welcome page, select Start Setup.

On the Details and Features page, enter your user name and company details.
You might enter any values that you want for the user name and company name; however, you might not leave these fields blank.

Under Select Features to Install, do the following.

In the Install Path field, accept the default installation path or specify a different path.

Under Optional Features, select any additional features that you want to install.
You can also clear and reselect the check box next to Smart Engineering Manager to select all additional features.

If you want to upgrade your Smart Engineering Manager data, be sure that you select Upgrade Utility to install the Smart Engineering Manager Upgrade Utility. For more information, see the Introduction to Intergraph SmartĀ® Engineering Manager Upgrade Utility.

Smart Engineering Manager is always installed, regardless of any other features you select.

Select Next.

On the License Agreement page, select your country or region from the list to view the license agreement in your language, and then select I agree to the license agreement and conditions.

Select Install.

When installation completes, select View Readme to open the Readme file.

Select Finish to close the installation wizard.
On completion of the installation, if prompted, you should reboot your computer before
starting Smart Engineering Manager.
