Source — Allows you to select a source field and drag it to a Source Field box in the Target pane.
Data Source — Allows you to display the contents of the selected source table.
Target — Displays the target item type fields, their type, default value, and the mapped source field. Also, allows to set field uniqueness by selecting the Key check box. Fields displayed in light gray are defined as read-only in the Data Dictionary. The software overwrites the data in the mapped fields with the source data regardless of whether they are read-only or not.
Key — Defines a field as unique to make the software check that the contents of the imported data in this field is unique. Import Manager will insert or update the data according to the import mode settings. You can define a combination of field uniqueness by selecting the Key check box next to several target fields. However, you must set at least one field as unique.
Displayed Name — Shows the name of the target field as it is displayed in Smart Electrical.
Type — Displays the type of the target field. For example, a numeric field, text field, select list, and so forth.
Default Value — Displays the default values for the attributes as they are defined in the Data Dictionary.
Source Field — Displays the mapped source field that you dragged from the Source pane. You can determine the expression that will be displayed in the software after importing the data. Right-click a Source Field value and select Expression Builder, Expression UOM, or Get Value From List depending on the type of the selected field. A scissors icon indicates that the field is shorter that the source data and therefore it will be truncated.
View Data — Allows you to display the contents of the selected target item type properties.
Complete list — Select to display the properties of related items.
Show mapped fields only — Select to display mapped fields only.
Mapping to target properties whose display names contain one or more dots will import the source data, but these properties will be marked as key indexes.
There are special mapping requirements for the import of operating case data. For details, see Importing Operating Case Data.
