The initial electrical current required to start rotation of a motor. Depending on the motor, this quantity is typically 400 - 1000% larger than the full load current of the motor. Usually, the motor nameplate specifies the LRC/FLA ratio, and this ratio is multiplied by the motor FLA to calculate the LRC value.
