The following procedure explains how to create a Composite Drawing Index report that shows all plant items and the composite drawings in which they appear. This report can help you find all the plant items that have not been included in a composite drawing.

  1. On the Smart Electrical menu bar, select Reports > New.

  2. On the New Report Template dialog, do the following:

    • Source template ā€” select Blank.

    • Name ā€” type an appropriate name for your new report.

    • Item type ā€” select Plant Item.

    • Report type ā€” select Tabular format.

    • Description ā€” type a short description as needed.

  3. Select OK and then select Yes when prompted to edit the report.

  4. In Microsoft Excel, select Add-Ins > Define.

  5. On the Define Report Contents dialog, select New.

  6. On the New Items dialog, select Representation as the related item and select Apply and then Close.

  7. On the Define Report Contents dialog, select Plant Item and select Define.

  8. On the Properties tab of the Define Report Items dialog, select the Item Tag property and select OK.

  9. On the Define Report Contents dialog, select Representation and select Define.

  10. On the Properties tab of the Define Report Items dialog, select the Document.ItemTag property and select OK.

  11. On the Define Report Contents dialog, select Close.

  12. In Microsoft Excel, define the Item Tag and Composite Drawing Item Tag column headers.

  13. Select the Item Tag header and select Map Properties > Item Tag > Item Tag.

  14. Select the Composite Drawing Item Tag header and select Map Properties > Representation > Document.ItemTag.

  15. Save the report template and generate the report.
