After merging items into the As-Built plant, users of other projects cannot claim these items. This option makes it possible to release merged items so that they can be claimed for other projects. After applying this option, the merged items in your current project become marked as scoped.

In a project, select Window > New > Project Management.

Right-click in the Project Management table and then select Show Merged Items
.

Select the check box beside each item you want to release.

Select
on the Project Management toolbar.

Right-click in the Project Management table and then select Release from Merge.

on the Project Management toolbar.
OR
Right-click in the Project Management table and then select Apply.
After releasing from merge, the status of the items in the project becomes Scoped, that is, the items will be scoped after you select Apply again.
