Enforce dependencies and optimize your schedule in the Work Package Schedule window - Intergraph Smart Construction - Hotfix 14 - Help - Hexagon

1. Click Work Package Schedule on the project home page to open the Work Package Schedule window.

2. Click Enforce Dependencies to update the Planned Start and Planned Finish dates of the IWPs you relate based on the type of relationship you select.

   For example, if you select IWP A to be related to IWP B with a Finish-to-Start type of relationship, Smart Construction updates the IWPs so that the Planned Finish date of IWP A occurs before the Planned Start date of IWP B.

   Select the Optimize check box to tighten the schedule and remove float between IWPs as you enforce dependencies.

   

   • All relationships for successor tasks are enforced when you click Enforce Dependencies.

   • When you select the Optimize check box, the scheduled tightens, and free time between IWPs is removed when you click Enforce Dependencies.

   • After you optimize the schedule and enforce dependencies, the tight schedule structure is kept as you drag IWPs in the timeline.
