You can select components in a 3D model or 2D drawing, then you can create a filter for those components to be used at a later time. For information on deleting a saved filter, see Delete a saved filter.

  1. In a 3D model or 2D drawing, use Select to click the component you want to add to save as a filter.

    SHARED Tip To save a filter that contains multiple components, define a selection rule and then create the filter using the selection rule. For details on creating a filter using a selection rule, see Save a filter with the components selected with the selection rule.

  2. Right-click and select Create Filter to open the Save Objects as Filter dialog box.

  3. Type a name in the Name box on the Save Objects as Filter dialog box.

  4. Select Filter available for all users if you want the filter to be available for all users on the server.

SHARED Tip To open a filter you saved, expand the Saved Queries group in the Available Filters group. Select a filter name and add it to the Applied Filters group.
