  • When you add a drawing to an IWP, components associated with that drawing are also added to the IWP.

  • When you add a drawing to an IWP, all components in the drawing are added to the IWP, even if the drawing and some of its components were previously added to the IWP.

  • When you add a drawing to an IWP, the Budgeted Man Hours updates on the Components window and Schedule window of the IWP. The Budgeted Man Hours tallies the number of man hours of work in an IWP.

Use the Drawings Browser Window

  1. Click Work Packages on the project home page.

  2. Select an IWP from the Work Packages browser.

  3. Click Drawings on the open IWP.

  4. Open the Drawings browser window in another window.

    SHARED Tip You may need to resize your windows in order to view the open IWP and the Drawings browser window at the same time.

  5. Select one or more drawings from the Drawings browser window to add to the IWP. Click either the name of the drawing or the image of the drawing.

  6. Drag the selected drawings to the Drawings section of the IWP.

Use the Available Drawings Browser

  1. Click Work Packages on the project home page.

  2. Select a package on the Work Packages browser window to open.

  3. Click Drawings on the open IWP. The Available Drawings browser is expanded on the bottom of the Drawings window.

    • Right-click a drawing and click View and Print to open the drawing in SmartPlant Markup Plus. You can print the drawing from SmartPlant Markup Plus.

    • Select a CWP name in the list to view drawings related to the parent CWP.

  4. Select one or more drawings from the Available Drawings browser by clicking either the name of the drawing or the image of the drawing.

  5. Drag the selected drawings to the Drawings section of the IWP.

Use the Work Packages Browser on the Drawings Browser Window

  1. Click Drawings on the project home page to open the Drawings browser window.

  2. Click Expand to expand the Work Packages section at the bottom of the Drawings browser window.

  3. Select one or more drawings in the Drawings browser window.

  4. Drag the selected drawings to the target work package.

Add a Drawing Filter Name to the Work Packages Browser

  1. Click Models on the project home page to open the Models browser window.

  2. Select a model from the Models browser window to open.

  3. Click Expand to maximize the Work Packages browser.

  4. Select an IWP from the Work Packages browser to add a drawing to.

  5. On the 3D model, click Add Filter on the Applied Filters group on the Toolbox.

  6. Click Expand next to Drawings in the Available Filters group to view a list of Drawing filters.

  7. Select a Drawing filter name from the Available Filters group.

  8. Drag the Drawing filter name to the selected IWP on the Work Packages browser.
