Create a new IWP - Intergraph Smart Construction - Hotfix 14 - Help - Hexagon

1. Click Work Packages on the project home page.

   You can also open the Work Packages browser in a model or drawing.

2. Select a level from the list in the Work Package Browser Navigation Tree. Depending on your selection, you can create CWPs, CWAs, and IWPs.

3. Click New on the Work Packages browser window.

   You can also click New on the Work Package browser.

4. Type a number in the IWP Number box.

   

   • An IWP number must begin with a letter or a number.

   • An IWP number cannot contain the following special characters: * ' % ? "

   • An IWP number must be unique.

   • If the ENS is configured, the number or name box is locked and displays To be assigned. When the package is saved, ENS fills in the name with the configured format.

   • When you click Save, the IWP Number locks, and you cannot change it. To change the IWP Number, delete the IWP and create a new IWP with the appropriate IWP Number.

5. Select a Status from the list for the IWP.

6. Select a Construction Work Packages (CWP) Number from the list for the IWP.

   You can also type search criteria in the box and click Execute Search to search for particular information, such as a set of CWPs or a contract. Reset the search criteria in the user preferences. For more information, see Reset user preferences.

7. Select the Discipline from the list menu for the IWP.

8. Select a Purpose from the list for the IWP.

After you create an IWP, you can define details, add schedule information, and add drawings, components, files, and snapshots to the IWP.
