In order to view models in Smart Construction version 8 or higher, you must enable
the automatic generation of WebGL viewer files for Hexagon 3D files (.binz file types)
in SmartPlant Foundation before retrieving the 3D models.
For Hexagon 3D files published to or stored in the database after this configuration is complete, SmartPlant Foundation can automatically generate the WebGL viewer files, attach them to the document, and store them in the vault. For WebGL viewer files to be automatically generated, you must enable the Auto generate WebGL viewer files option in the system options.

Log on to the Desktop Client, and then click Find > Administration > SmartPlant Foundation Options.

In the Name box, type SystemOptions, and click OK.

Right-click SystemOptions, and click Update on the shortcut menu.

Select the Auto generate WebGL viewer files option in the Update - SPF System Options dialog box.

If WebGL viewer files are not automatically generated, verify that the default configuration has not been changed. For more information, see Problems generating WebGL viewer files.

Enabling automatic generation does not create WebGL viewer files for Hexagon 3D files published to or stored in the database prior to this configuration. If there were already Hexagon 3D files published to or stored in the database before you configured the software, you must manually generate the WebGL viewer files for those files.
