The activities which cannot be planned in advance or required to be completed on go can be better managed by On-Demand Tasks (For example, Welding logs, Flange torquing).

You can create the On-Demand tasks and execute them using SCC application.

The created on-demand task by default converted as a planned task.
To create an On-Demand task, follow these steps:

Select the Tasks manager on the SCC home screen.

Select the icon located at the top-right corner of the Tasks list view page.
You must have the edit rights to the Tasks manager to create the on-demand tasks.

In the Create Task page, enter the required fields information of a task.
A pop-up message named Required Fields are needed appears when you Start Task without entering the required fields data.

Select Start Task to get the record created and started.

Once you start the task, it displays the Steps Completion tab where you can execute the task smart form.

The created On-Demand tasks are displayed in the Tasks list view page.

The execution of on-demand tasks created using SCC is similar to the planned tasks.

The workflow status of the newly created on-demand task is set to Started by default.

This functionality is available both in online and offline modes.

Offline Scenario

The creation and execution of on-demand tasks in offline mode is similar to online.

Before switching to offline mode, make sure you sync the data using the sync manager.

In offline mode, there is no asset data downloaded for the newly created on-demand tasks. Therefore, it displays an error message when you edit the assets associated with the task.

The task created in offline mode gets updated in SaaS application during the subsequent sync.
