FileCatalyst is a software platform integrated in the Cloud portal to manage and accelerate file transfers securely and reliably. HotFolder is a configurable desktop application that you can use to schedule download or upload of files.
The core transport technology used is based on the UDP protocol. It is immune to the effects of latency and packet loss that can impact traditional file transfer methods. FileCatalyst breaks data into blocks and starts transmitting immediately and the transfer remains constant, regardless of the data transmission and network latency. A site is the server that the HotFolder is connected to in FileCatalyst.
