Changing the secret for a Smart API is uncommon. Typically, it is required only if
you forget the secret before using it or believe it has been compromised. If you do
change the secret, you must update the configuration file for the Smart API.

On the left panel, click Smart APIs

Click the Smart API in the grid to see its details.

Click Update Secret
.

In the Update Secret dialog box, click Generate
to generate a random value.
You can click the current secret and type a new one.

Before continuing, click Copy to Clipboard
to save a copy of the secret. You need this information to update the Smart API configuration file.

Click NEXT, and copy one of the snippets provided, based on the language of the SMART API configuration file, either XML or JSON.

Click FINISH on the Update Secret dialog box.

Click SAVE at the top of the section.

Update the API's configuration file with the copied snippets.
