If you encounter unexpected performance or functionality issues with Smart API Manager, there are mechanisms you can configure to monitor the application. Monitoring output assists Hexagon PPM support personnel to isolate the root cause of any problem.

There are two features you can configure to monitor the performance of Smart API Manager:

  1. Logging and Tracing - logging and tracing for Smart API Manager is enabled via NLog. See the NLog configuration topic for details.

  2. Application Insights - enable real-time monitoring using an Azure Application Insights resource. See the Application Insights topic for details.
