Identity settings let you manage identity providers and provides an option to customize the sign-in page.

Default provider

You can change the default identity provider used to sign into Smart API Manager. Local and Windows Credentials require username/password. Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) attempts to log in automatically based on your current Active Directory identity. CA SiteMinder Authentication is a specialized provider and should not be chosen without custom configuration.

SHARED Tip If you change the default identity provider and find you cannot sign in, run the Smart API Manager Configuration Utility to set the default provider back to Local Credentials. Then, you should be able to sign in with the local system administrator account created during configuration.

Identity providers

An identity provider is a software system that creates, maintains, and manages identities. These identities are typically users, but other entities, like services and systems, can also be involved.

See Identity providers for more information.

Login page settings

You can modify the sign-in page for Smart API Manager by providing a custom logo and descriptive text that displays in the upper-right corner of the form.

See for Login page settings more information.
