Displays properties for assembly margin children. An assembly margin child is a single connection margin in a group of connection margins between two assemblies or blocks.

The order in which the properties display in your view depends on your configuration.

Approval State

Specifies the status of the selected object or filter. Changing this property sets the Status. The display depends on your access level. You might be unable to change the status of the object. The list is defined by the ApprovalStatus codelist.

Smart 3Dx saves an object to the database when you change that object's status. Use Undo (CTRL + Z) to reverse the status change.

You can only edit or manipulate an object with a status of Working.

Created by

Specifies the name of the person who created the object.

Creation Type

Specifies the creation type of the margin.

Date Created

Specifies the creation date of the object.

Date Last Modified

Specifies the date of the last modification to the object.

Direction

Specifies the direction in which the margin is applied to the object. When the direction is set to Perpendicular to Edge, the margin is applied normal to the lateral face port. When the direction is set to Global for a plate, the margin is applied in the direction along the X, Y, or Z axis in which the plate is oriented. If the direction is set to Global for a profile, the margin is applied along the landing curve direction.

Feature Rule

Specifies the feature rule associated with the object.

Geometry Change

Specifies whether the margin should be trimmed. The following options are available:

As Margin

Trimming is needed. The extension is only on the edge.

By Stretch

No trimming is needed. The software stretches the shape along the part like shrinkage.

As Reference

No request to extend the geometry. The margin is placed as a reference.

Hyperlink

Specifies the URL or local file path associated with the object. Click the hyperlink to open the page or object in your default browser. Point to the hyperlink to display the URL or path as a tooltip.

Description

Specifies the descriptive text associated with the hyperlink.

URL

Specifies the web address or local file name associated with the hyperlink. The URL must include the protocol, such as http: or https:, as well as the domain name. For example, https://hexagonppm.com/.

Last Modified by

Specifies the name of the person who last modified the object.

Margin Value

Specifies the amount of margin to apply.

Name

Specifies the name of the selected object. If the name is too long to entirely display in the box, point to the box to display the complete name as a tool tip. If the name is not defined by a rule, User Defined displays. If this name is generated by a naming rule, Naming Rule displays. If you type a name in this box, Smart 3Dx automatically changes the naming rule to User Defined.

Stretch Offset

Specifies the length of the adjacent edge that the software adjusts while applying the margin. This is only editable if the Geometry Change is set to By Stretch.

Type

Specifies the type of margin to apply.
