Metadata must be regenerated when:
-
You upgraded to a newer version of Smart 3D
-
The catalog data for an existing plant has changed
To do so, you use the Configuration Utility's Smart 3D Data page, plants sections.
Both APIs share the same configuration. So, the metadata only has to be regenerated once.
Go to the Smart 3D Data page > Plants sections
-
On any machine where the web API services are installed, open the Configuration Utility:
Start > Intergraph Smart 3D > Web API Configuration Tool
-
On the Welcome page, select Configure Smart 3D Data.
-
Click Next until the Smart 3D Data page shows the Choose Site section at the top.
Choose Site and Enable Plants sections
-
Choose a site to see the plants it contains in the Enable Plants section.
If the system recognizes that a plant's metadata is out of date, a warning
appears in the Web API Enabled column. But you can regenerate metadata for any plants, not just those with a warning.
-
Select one or more plants and click Regenerate Metadata
.
