To configure the Smart 3D Plant API Web Server, you use the Configuration Utility's Smart 3D Plant Web Server page, site and web server information sections.
With the exception of the application pool, both APIs can share the same configuration. But you can use a different configuration for each API.
If this is the first time the server is being configured, you might see default configuration
options. This happens if the server for another API has already been configured.
Go to the Smart 3D Plant Web Server page > web server information sections

On the machine you want to use as the Plant API web server, open the Configuration Utility:
Start > Intergraph Smart 3D > Web API Configuration Tool

On the Welcome page, select Setup Plant Web Server.

Click Next until the Smart 3D Plant Web Server page shows the Site Information section at the top.
Be sure you're on the Smart 3D Plant Web Server page and not the Smart 3D Admin Web Server page.
Site Information section

In Web Site, select Create new to create a new website, or select an existing website to reuse.

Give the website a name in Web Site Name.

Choose the port for the website in Http Port. Valid ports are 0 to 65535.
Application Information section

Give the application a name in Application Name.

Enter or select the application pool to run the API in the Application Pool.
Each API must use a separate application pool.
The Application Pool Identity appears. Make sure this identity has correct permissions.
Https Information section

Change the HTTPS information if necessary.
Base URL Information section

If you want to use a different base URL, click Override and change the Base URL information if necessary.

If you're done configuring the Plant API web server, click Finish. Otherwise, click Next:

Once to move on to configuring the authorization server for the Plant API.

Twice to move on to configuring the application settings for the Plant API.
